一、        课程的性质和任务

课程性质：《物流专业英语》是现代物流专业的一门必修课，是一门集现代运输、信息网络、仓储管理、产品后道加工、营销策划等诸多内容的一门多学科、多领域的综合性管理学科。

主要任务：使学生掌握物流方面的专业术语，培养学生专业英语阅读能力及专业英语文献翻译的初步能力。

UNIT FOUR     INVENTORY  MANAGEMENT

主要讲授：the classification of warehouse(private warehouse,public warehouse,contract warehouse);warehouse equipment(forklift trucks,walkie-rider pallet trcuks,towlines,tow tractor with trailers conveyors);inventory management(types of inventory ,control of service inventories ,just-in –time philosophy)

四、课程教学的基本要求

教学环节包括：课堂讲授及习题课、课外作业、考试考查等。

1、课堂讲授

（1）教学方法：

采用启发式教学，培养学生思考问题、分析问题和解决问题的能力；引导和鼓励学生通过实践和自学获取知识。

（2）外语的要求

学习物流专业英语要有基本的外语功底，否则学生难以理解。

2、习题课

安排在每章结束后，对课后习题加以讨论。

3、考试考察

通过课上提问、讨论进行考察，最后在期末时进行考试
