      一、课程说明
      1、开课的意义,课程的性质、目的与任务
      《国际商务函电》是国际经济与贸易专业和经济学专业高年级的核心专业基础课程之一,它是一门将英语与外贸业务相结合的课程。通过授课和学习外贸实务中各种英文业务函电、电传和传真以及其它文函的写作格式,商业术语各种不同的表达方法以及对外贸易各环节的运作方式,使学生在提高英语水平的同时,熟练掌握对外贸易业务中基本技能,培养和提高他们的外贸业务工作能力。 该课程切实突出高等教育的培养目标,真正培养学生“实用、够用、能用、有用”的素质能力。具体目标和任务是加强理论的教学,同时加强外贸函电的演练,提高学生的外贸函电的语言组织能力和双语的运用能力,如口头表达以及书面表达的技巧,外贸英语函电的写作与英汉互译等能力。
      2、课程的教学目标及要求
      通过本课程的学习,要求学生掌握外贸业务书信的标准格式,了解通过哪些途径来发展新客户,开拓新市场,如何进行询购某商品,怎样报盘和还盘,怎样灵活运用付款方式,如何做到重合同守信用,怎样去审查信用证,做到不出差错,在理据和索赔中做到有理有利有节;学会拟写信函和传真的写作技巧。《国际商务函电》课程的教学目标是训练一批有实际业务操作能力,毕业后短期内便能参加实际业务工作,用英语撰写一般性的外贸函电的外贸人才。
      3、课程与其他课程的联系与分工
      ⑴、英语基础知识:通过《国际商务函电》中出现的商务英语的语法特点,抓住英语语言的知识点,让英语专业的学生在熟悉掌握英语核心与通用语汇、语法与语言结构的基础上,扩展语言应用技能,语言知识与相关对外贸易知识;
      ⑵、国际贸易知识:通过讲授对外贸易的每个基本流程,如建立贸易关系、询盘与答复、报盘和递盘、还盘与反还盘、订货、接受与签约、包装、装运、支付与结算、保险、商检等,掌握最基本的贸易理论、基本专业贸易术语,相关的经贸知识,了解相关的对外贸易的政策和技巧,基本的理论与实务,使学生较准确地翻译和运用相关商务电函。

      (2)、对学生作业的要求:要求学生根据所学内容独立完成一定量的作业。力求避免照搬照抄式的作业,鼓励学生通过作业培养自己独立解决问题的能力。
